Outstanding service! We called Desert Air and gave him a brief description of what was going on with our ac unit and he said he had an idea of what the problem was and could be out to take a look at our unit that same day. Omar arrived within the time frame he gave us and was very polite, knowledgeable and professional. It took him about 20 -30 minutes to diagnose the problem and was able to get it fixed and have us up and running in about an hour. He did not try to sell us or upsell us anything. He did a great job at explaining what the problem was and the solution. We appreciate the prompt and honest service. We recommend Desert Air 100%. I had another house serviced in Fontana, the technician was very detailed and took his time to examine all the components of the system. He found several issues that where overlooked by providers sent by my home warranty. The problems that the technician found were explained clearly . The situation: it’s July 5th and the temp is 109°. My wife notifies me that the A/C is putting out warm air. We just had people over for the 4th and it worked just fine. So, dreading trying to find someone on such short notice AND on a holiday weekend, I was ready to just spend this blazing hot weekend outside in the pool. I went on Yelp (I’ll a review there as well) and sent out feelers as to when I could get my unit repaired. Lo and behold, Omar from Desert Air and Heating got back to me within 10 minutes and said he could come to my home in 2 hours!! At first I was skeptical, having only 1 review on Yelp. I came to Google and there were 11 reviews. ALL OF THE ARE RIGHT ON! First, Omar kept in touch with me as to when he was on his way. He was here at the ETA with his son Joe as a helper. He immediately got on the roof and spent 15-20 min diagnosing the problem. He came down, we offered both of them cold water:), and showed us photos of our unit and all the readouts they took as the unit was running. He told us exactly what the problems were and what he needed to do to fix our unit. More amazingly, he had all the parts on his truck!! The entire visit took about 2 hours on this sweltering day, where the roof was easily over 120°! Omar is such a nice man, along with his helper Joe. He’s well spoken, describes exactly what and how he diagnosed the problem, and explained why and what we can do to maintain our system. We are definitely having him do our twice a year maintenance. If I could give 6 stars I would. We had an incredible experience with Desert Air Heating and Cooling.Our AC went out on the weekend and Omar was out here within an hour to diagnose the issue. Our 45 year old HVAC system broke down in the middle of a very cold week, I called Desert Air Heating & Cooling on a Saturday afternoon and Omar arrived within the hour, he got up on our roof and checked our system for about 20 minutes, he found the problem and his professional opinion was that our system was too old to be repaired because the parts were next to impossible to obtain, so he recommended a new HVAC system, the price seemed reasonable and we immediately agreed. The bad weather continued for the rest of the week with wind, rain and snow, and we relied on our wood burning fireplace to cope with the cold in the meantime, and finally on Saturday when the weather allowed it, Omar and his crew showed up first thing in the morning and after a few hours, we had a new HVAC system installed on our roof. When the heater was turned on, it immediately started warming up our house, as opposed to our old system which was inefficient with outdated technology and design. We really believe that in the future, our heating and cooling bills are going to be way lower. We want to express our appreciation to Omar, his son, and John, who worked diligently and answered every question we had about our new HVAC system. We highly recommend Desert Air Heating & Cooling to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy HVAC company. Update (9/14/2025): We recently hired Desert Air Heating and Cooling again to clean our air ducts; they did such an amazing job when they installed our new system a few months ago and we couldn't be happier with the results. But our air ducts are 46 years old as well and most likely had never been cleaned, and even though the new HVAC worked perfectly, our house smelled a little dusty. Omar explained the process very well and gave us a great price. After they were done the amount of debris they removed was astonishing. After the cleaning, the air feels so much fresher and cleaner, and our vents look amazingly clean. They were very respectful of our home, covering our furniture and keeping the area tidy. But sometimes it’s the right decision to call and let years of experience take ahold of the situation … was even schooled on how to get the most life out of a 20+ year old unit with parts that will not be made anymore…. Was not a pushy sells scam to get me to buy a brand new unit Omar laid out the options that I had and talked me through them. Omar came to diagnose my AC. My heater wasn’t working and he had to order the parts to repair. Due to the weekend we had to wait for the parts.
